Mrs Susan Rickerby ACA

After obtaining my secondary education at Sir Bernard Lovell School in Oldland Common near Bristol, I tried a couple of options including working in the back office at C&A, before embarking on an accountancy foundation course at Bristol Polytechnic (now known as UWE).

I was then engaged by a five partner firm of accountants in Clifton on training contract. Each partner had their own style and expectations thus giving me a wide range of experience.

I joined Lloydbottoms in December 1987 and achieved qualification and membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) in 1988. Since then I have worked with a wide variety of businesses, their owners and staff and with individuals of all ages and with varying levels of complexity in their accounting and taxation requirements.

I became a director of Lloydbottoms Limited early in 2013 when I bought the practice and I am continuing the tradition of high quality, affordable but professional, personal service to all our clients.

Mujahid Shazzad

After finishing my A Levels in 2017, I took on a role in accounts administration in a relatively small firm while studying part time in USW (university of South Wales) for my DipHE in professional accounting. This role allowed me to gain extensive experience in dealing with Self assessments, Limited companies, corporation tax, VAT & payroll.

I eventually became an accounts assistant by late 2018 and I graduated in the early part of 2022, received ACCA Affiliation, and joined Lloydbottoms as a Client Services Manager around the same time.

Stacey Ettery

I joined the team in 2020 as an accounts assistant apprentice working towards a level 3 AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting, which I completed in July 2021 achieving a Distinction pass mark.

My academic journey began at Downend School, Bristol where I gained A-levels in Accounting, Mathematics, and ICT. I then spent 2 years at the University of South Wales studying Mathematics, before discovering this was not the right path for me. Between this and joining Lloydbottoms, I also spent 3 years working as a supervisor in a retail setting.

I now enjoy my time at Lloydbottoms managing the running of payroll, as well as completing various pieces of bookkeeping, vat returns, and drafting year end accounts and tax returns.
