After obtaining my secondary education at Sir Bernard Lovell School in Oldland Common near Bristol, I tried a couple of options including working in the back office at C&A, before embarking on an accountancy foundation course at Bristol Polytechnic (now known as UWE).
I was then engaged by a five partner firm of accountants in Clifton on training contract. Each partner had their own style and expectations thus giving me a wide range of experience.
I joined Lloydbottoms in December 1987 and achieved qualification and membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) in 1988.
Since then I have worked with a wide variety of businesses, their owners and staff and with individuals of all ages and with varying levels of complexity in their accounting and taxation requirements.
I became a director of Lloydbottoms Limited early in 2013 when I bought the practice and I am continuing the tradition of high quality, affordable but professional, personal service to all our clients.
I am also a governor of a primary school in South Gloucestershire, co- treasurer at Unity Oldland Methodist Church and secretary to the trustees of my local village club. I have two adult sons and the support of my husband and in my spare time (?) I like to garden, bake, knit and read!
